According to the results of several polls from independant sites mentioned in the MandrakeSoft Shareholders Newsletter, Mandrake Linux topped the list as the distribution preferred by most respondents.
The polls which were from Linux Magazine UK, PCMag.com (PC Magazine), Linux.com, Linux.ie and Linux User Magazine showed that Mandrake captured 35-45% of the vote in each poll. This translated in to giving the distribution at least a small lead over RedHat and SuSE's offerings in all but Linux User Magazine. That publication, which is from Germany, gave SuSE a 33% lead over Mandrake, which came in second.
