He doesn't need a stock ticker. He doesn't need the Microsoft Games Pack. He doesn't need access to his operating system network settings. He certainly doesn't need Nimda. The average user would be as happy with Linux as he is with Windows. “


“Concerns over the cost and disruption of upgrading to Windows XP should convince corporations to shake a few dollars loose to try alternative systems in pilot programs across the corporation. “

“Using Linux servers and thin clients — those desktop PCs can be converted to thin clients — would drastically reduce the number of administered operating system installations to the few centrally located servers. “
