One of my favorite streaming channels is Japan’s NHK World, broadcast in English. It isn’t very pleasing when it has programs about other countries — I go there to learn about Japan — but it often has satisfying, even soothing shows about that country’s tremendous beauty and rich culture.
The Boys talk about Jason’s adventures this summer, the changing world we find ourselves in (and some encouragement from Ps. 89 related to it), their mutual love of all things Apple and the importance for Christians being people of the Truth.
The Zippy Crew returns with musings on Aldi, Cheese, Monkeypox, preaching, Dale Earnhardt and more in an episode as packed as a summer potluck.
I don’t want to step on Mr. Powell’s toes, or encroach upon his territory as OFB’s crackpot-at-large, but I’ve got a splinter in my brain, and we’re going to talk about it. I’ve had one of those 1200-watt microwaves for ages. I used to call it “Satan’s microwave,” because if I followed the instructions on any package of food, I would be waiting 5 to 7 minutes minimum before I could reasonably attempt to eat whatever I put in there. You can adjust the cooking time, as is often advised, but you are playing with fire, or ice, as the case may be.
