That is quite right. IF, (and here again, my experience with
presbyteries in NY state is that they are liberal), they have been
followers of Christ they may well do that. After all, look what has
happened to a number of Episcopal churches.

I was in it for about ten years after the church I was a member of left the UCC and joined it. It is a conservative, highly congregational denomination. Notably, it dots all the right i's theologically, so it gets a pass. Similar, I suppose, to Sovereign Grace Ministries, which has a very ominous cloud of abuse most folks ignore.

Interesting. Chuck Swindoll? I find it hard to believe that he'd be
involved in anything not on the "up and up." Not knowingly anyway.
