[CS-FSLUG] Laptop and Linux - what to do?

I'm no Linux expert. I've used Fedora successfully on a laptop with a
wifi-card. I now use PCLinuxOS on a laptop with a wifi card.

What I like is that it comes in several different sizes and has a repository
from which you can download and install many applications. That's how I got
BibleTime. I can't tell you much more about the distro. Their site address
is www.pclinuxos.com.

I am looking for some dist that works well on the laptop with wireless
network. At the same time I am a little bit curious to learn more about
the different styles within Linux. I have to learn more about tar.gz and
such elementary things, but Ubuntu has been in a way easy to deal with.
