Well, you probably have two different problems. One, that the first
page is blank, and second, that it grabs multiple pages after that...

I am assuming that the "print head" moves across the first page as if it
were printing something, but it remains blank? If so, you have dried
ink in the print-head. This is sometimes very difficult to clean. If
you can, you remove the print head and soak it in rubbing alcohol for an
hour or so, then swish it around in the rubbing alcohol for a bit. I
have only had moderate success resurrecting a printer that had ink dried
in the print-head. If you cannot clean it, you must either buy another
print-head or replace the printer.

The multiple page thing could be a number of issues. Often the rubber
pick-up thing needs to have the rubber replaced, or you can clean it
with a special solvent that will make the rubber softer. The latter is
often the best/cheapest thing to do. It occasionally can be simply a
problem of "sticky paper". If the paper has collected static
electricity or has not been separated in a while. You can fan the
paper so that it is all separated from each-other before putting it in
the tray. But most likely you need to get some rubber revitalizer.
(something like: http://www.maxpatchink.com/rubber-refresh.shtml - this
link was simply the first one I found on google. I know nothing about
the vendor.)

I would try to clean out the print-head first. If you cannot do that,
then you will need to decide if you should replace the print-head or the
printer... If you can get the rubber revitalizer working, then it might
be worth seeing what the print-head costs...
