You are confusing "reuse" with "recycle"; the three "R's" are supposed to 
be prioritised in the order "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle".  If the parts can't 
be reused then look for a recycle depot that will separate circuit boards 
from plastic from case and then melt the various components.  There are a 
few valuable metals used in different parts.  Is there a electronic 
"recycling" depot near you?
