It's a little tough to compare pornography with software here I think.
With the former I think that what they're hoping for is for the
consumer to get addicted and want to consume more and more, eventually
driving them to their site.  On the other hand, if consumers find a
good (eg.) word processor they probably want to stick to using it and
don't wander off searching for others.
