Fair enough. However, I think it still points to the idea of not
killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. The Grateful Dead had a
rather liberal music "sharing" policy until recently, and one of the
band members opposed the recent tightening of the belt. I'm no GD
fan, but I do know that their fans have been fairly loyal. Music,
too, is different from software in some ways. Yet, both highlight the
paradoxical nature of freedom in a capitalist society.
