Perhaps the West blowing up people is partially responsible for resistance?  ...
as well as the corrupt motives of many who appear to be there simply for the
money.

I've heard people argue that Islam is inherently violent... perhaps such an
approach to conversion will lead Muslims to the same conclusions about
Christianity.

Looking at the spread of Christianity, many people were martyred in the process.
 Think of the apostles... just how many of them ended up dying a natural death?
