[OFB Cafe] RAID vs. rsync?

Hi everyone,
I'm debating about setting up a system using software RAID1 or
finding something like rsync (would rsync work?) to keep two disks in
sync. My main goal is to some how mirror the already running primary
drive onto a second, identical drive. The constant sync of RAID1 may
not even be the most ideal route, since it could include copying
corruptions. But, whatever I use, I want it to be that if the primary
disk fails, the secondary one could be booted off of and be ready to go.

If going the RAID route, anyone have experience setting up a software
RAID in Linux *after* Linux is already installed on the primary disk?

	Thoughts?

	Thanks,
		Tim
