[CS-FSLUG] Request for info: Laptop vendors?

I haven't bought in a while, but I did buy a refurbished toshiba about
10yrs ago that really served me well.   Depending on her needs, there
are new laptops close to that price and several "netbooks"  (e.g. Asus
eeepc 1000HD or similar) that are under that price.
