During my experimentation with FreeBSD (foundation for Desktop BSD) I
found too often GnomeSword simply would not build, and BibleTime was
frequently broken. The Bible Desktop (JSword) worked without fail.
If FreeBSD had a handle on suspend modes, I'd be running it right now.
Everything else I could find a way to deal with, but that's a show
stopper for me.
But I'm made to wonder if those older machines and OSes can handle the
load of Java. JSword on my openSUSE 10.3 laptop takes slightly more
resources than BibleTime.
