[CS-FSLUG] Printer and Samba

Connect the thing to your ubuntu box, and then share it with cups and
connect to it via IPP. Works for Windows XP or any *nix system with
cups. I just did it the other day (with Gentoo). Here's a howto
http://www.howtoforge.com/ipp_based_print_server_cups (it's not mine,
just one I found).
