I was thinking in terms of protocol support.  In any KDE application,
for example, I can view/edit a document accessible via FTP, HTTP, SMB,
NFS, etc. but the same such support is not necessarily shared by
Mozilla and other non-KDE applications.

I'm aware that you can setup the print command in Mozilla to spawn the
same print dialog as Konqueror - however, then you're still stuck
going through Mozilla's print dialog if only to spawn the next one. 
Is there a way to get rid of the intermediate Mozilla print box that
I'm unaware of?
