IMHO, this isn't a good analogy. A broken arm doesn't even come near the
emotional trauma one suffers from being different.

It wasn't until I was 16 that I even worked up the nerve to talk to a girl
which was when I met my wife. She moved in across the street from me. It
wasn't until that day that I actually worked up the nerve to talk to anyone
outside my family. Matter of fact I paid my brother who was about 7 years old
at the time a quarter to go over to her house and introduce us. And after
this happened I went over there but first I took off my hearing aid because I
was afraid she wouldn't accept me!

Then once we started talking and she got to know me for who I am on the inside
and not the out, I then started wearing my hearing aid.

Understand what im saying?

I think the women on this list can relate to this in a huge way.

Having said that, my whole point in my anology meant that has anyone here ever
thought that this man chose to hide his lifestyle again to escape from the
emotional trauma and persecution so he could be fully accepted and loved by
the people he holds dear to him?
