That's true of ALL Linux distros......including SUSE, which I'm so fond of. 
The bottom line is you MUST know the distro. of choice......period. The 
differences simply are how easy a distro. makes it to setup a system, how 
stable it is, and how quickly a distro. is with updates. SUSE excels in ALL 
areas and is one reason why I use it in businesses and homes.
