We were able to print envelopes using "Insert Envelope" in 1.1.0, but
process was broken in 1.1.1 - I thought I found a bug report (issue 25342)
that sounded like this problem, but it was fixed in 1.1.2 and I still have
a problem with envelopes. I found an new issue that sounds more like the
same problem than the first one did (above link). I can't imagine it's
just me and 'vandan' having this problem? I wonder if it's related to OS
and/or printer driver (since print preview works properly)? This problem
first arose with a client using OOo on many Win98 systems. I have upgraded
to OOo 1.1.2 on a couple of machines where staff won't be printing
envelopes. I don't have access to a Linux system I can put OOo1.1.2 on
right now, so I'm asking for help. Also if you have access to 1.1.2 on a
windows system and some other printers (perhaps non-HP?) could you try that
too?
Envelope printing in OOo:
Starting with empty document, select Insert, Envelope - Click "Format" tab,
Change Format to "Env.10" which automatically changes position, width and
height to proper values - Click "New Doc." button - Enter sender/recipient
addresses. Print - if you use plain paper, the output should be
landscape. There are other bug reports out there describing problems when
paper tray is selected, so best to stay away from that for this test (try
to print using all printer defaults).
