I can't say that I agree with the principle that "God will have NO choice but to
punish ...".  Think, for example, of the situtation with Nineveh, described in
the book of Jonah.  If God has "NO choice" then aren't we all doomed?  What
place is there for mercy by this reasoning?

What about divorce rates?  levels of violent crime?  corruption?  abortion?  ...
