[CS-FSLUG] Wacky thought - Linux consulting

This is something that I have been trying to do with my church. Problem is that some members really are opposed to change. Pastor has had all sorts of problems with the windoze system that the church has, and yet nobody is will to consider switching to Linux even though it is known that there is somebody in the church that can help make the transition easier. Oddly enough, I am facing the same type of opposition when it comes to trying to get members of the church to consider Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC) as an alternative to the Evangelic Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). People don't always like change, so you are going to have an uphill battle ahead of you. What you will need to do is to resonably demonstrate why Linux is a better choice for the church to use in contrast to windoze. You will also need to have someway of providing access to any software that is available for Linux without having to hunt it down on RPMseek or any of the other popular Lin
ux download sites. This means that you may have to download the software and burn to disk yourself to make it available. Now then, there is plenty of software out there that the church can use, it is just a matter of finding it. I am sorry that I can't be more helpful.
