I cannot speak to his faith but can say, without fear of successful
contradiction, that one cannot be a true scientist and not be a
'curious agnostic', at a minimum.

A self-proclaimed atheist is a self-proclaimed ignoramus as a
supposed scientist.

There is far too much evidence of an intelligence in the construct
of the physical world for any truly curious person to declare such
to neither be worthy of investigation, let alone absolutely non-
existent.
