Here's the deal: 80% of churches in Canada have 100 members or less. I assume that the proportion is similar in the U.S. Almost no church that small is going to be installing a network (and those that do will probably have geeky pastors, and the network will die about three weeks after the pastor moves.) Therefore, if there is no desktop-based church management package for Linux, then small churches (which means most churches) will not be able to run Linux, no matter how much sense Linux makes for them in every other way.

That's the choice: either give small churches what they need, or admit that Linux is not workable for small churches. I know what I'd prefer.
