[CS-FSLUG] [OT] USB Hubs; Gigabit Networking

Not at all, in fact what I'm looking at doing is replacing having a
USB drive for every computer I'm running and instead making back-ups
to a network attached storage. I was looking at the D-Link DNS-323
for this, but my experience with them has been sketchy from the very
first time one of their routers came into the house. I'd get one if
only for the price, although I admit I'd much rather have a ReadyNAS.

What I'd need to consider is the kind of speeds I might be getting,
reliable connectivity would be a big issue, and of course it would
need to have raid 1 because it would be storing my most important
files as well as all my back-ups. I would have considered going with
FreeNAS except that I need proper working access control and I'd
prefer to keep things as simply as possible. I'd also prefer to keep
the power consumption, noise, and space usage to an absolute minimum.
