Satan is an ancient deceiver so the presence of
"old" materials says not a word about their
authenticity.

Just as the obsession with "old" religious
organizations and "old" English translations
and "old" traditions often leads to bad theology
so does the improper assumption that old documents
contain truth.

Old is not equal to Truth.

Coherence with what we believe to be sound
canonical texts is a far better test and you
have identified what appear to the be several
fatal flaws in any suggestion that the "gospel
of Judas" is a legitimate peer to canonical texts.
