I might as well tell you about my coworkers at Staples. Only one
person claims to actually still use Linux from time to time, the rest
either don't know what is it, or react with hostility at the name of
it (and fit into the first group ;-) ).

There is a lot of ignorance at the Staples where I work surrounding
Linux, none of the people there have given it half a chance, they just
decided to judge it according to their resident expert Wayne who also
believes that viruses written in assembly code can run on any
architecture and operating system with just one compile thanks to the
magic virus faeries.

For the most part I like working at Staples, but I'm glad I'm not in
the computer department because then everyone would have to hate me
for making them look dumb, just about every last one of the associates
there says Linux and Mac OS X suck, but wouldn't be able to recognize
either OS during booting, and wouldn't recognize Linux at all because
the truth is only one of the people there aside from myself even
claims to have actually run Linux.

Linux and Apple really haven't made very many inroads in to this part
of Saskatchewan and in Newfoundland. Aside from having a few people
forming lugs in the larger cities there really isn't anyone using
Linux or Mac OS here. I know one person outside of my family that
takes Linux serious and has actually used it for a fact, and one
person from school that owns a Mac, and those two people, along with
my dad and myself are the only people I've know in my life to have
actually used any non-MS operating system with even the slightest
intent of giving it a fair chance and seriously seeing what it can do.
Sad isn't it.
