Ed,

I am currently using an IBM Thinkpad X20/P3 600/ 384 MB RAM, running
Debian/2.4.27

I have had only one problem with this laptop, Kernel 2.6 does not support my
network card at all hence why I am running 2.4.27. Other then that it
has been supperb. It really depends on what you are wanting to do in
it. I am as we speaking
installing PHP5 for some development.
It is a joy to use and I only paid £400.00 off eBay for it. (refurbished model)
Oh also it an ultralight and so I take it around with me everywhere.
