Oh? I thought unless your host says your email is an IMAP account, and calles
it a POP3 then you couldn't go that route.
I still have some webmails, but mostly the ones I check on my computer are
domain addresses for my sites, and for some that I look after for other
people. It is really convenient and more efficient to look after all of them
in one program. If I stored them on the sites' servers, I'm afraid I'd be
using up space there. I'm all for flexibility too, but a good rut can be
comfortable, right? :)
