HI Sandra,
nice to meet you. I didn't know introductions were expected. Afraid I
just jumped in once I had enough nerve. :)

Umm. I'm afraid of getting too long-winded, but I'm a writer and
self-publisher who moved home 21 years ago to look after my parents. Mom
died in Nov/97 and I still have Dad to watch out for. He's 88 and still
putters, walks and does the gardening, so he doesn't need nursing care.
Just a cook, housekeeper, chauffeur and social secretary. :)

This gives me about 12-14 hours free each day to work at my online
business ventures, and ministries. I have no regular income, and
sometimes think of myself as a faith missionary. But I love the way I
can write, publish my novel, market it, design web sites, and meet
people. I seem to end up mentoring women who drift in and out of my
life. Most finding me through my novel's site, Ruthes-SecretRoses.com

I also give at least one night a week, and often much more, to Western
Tract Mission, as the web-servant, desktop publisher of the quarterly
newsletter, Reflections, and being on the Board of Directors.

When I was a teen I wondered what I would become, since I had so many
interests. Turns out the best careers for such people are missionary,
caregiver and writing. You NEED every skill, interest and gift you might
ever had a bit of to meet the challenges.

My learning curve about computers, web-life, and business has been super
steep since I first came online in January 1999. That's why I decided
last fall, "hey, why stop? I'll jump in and learn the Linux world too!"
I just didn't expect this many delays!

Blessings,
Ruth
