If you can reach the DSL router to see the web-page then your interface is
fine.

The only "conflict" will be with the "default route".  Basically, whichever you
do last will be the one that works.  If you dial-up and then disconnect, your
DSL connection will usually not work until you refresh it.  But once you get
the DSL connection up, you will not be dialing out, so it will not be a
problem.

I think we are getting close to the solution...  But that will come after I
answer your other email.  You put some good information in that...
