[CS-FSLUG] Setting Up DSL Router

I have heard a lot of things from support reps. Most of them only are trained
in their particular niche. Very few of them know Linux.

Here are the steps you need to take.

1) set up the DSL router
2) set up the Linux computer for DHCP
3) troubleshoot anything that does not work. :)

It seems that you have set up the DSL router as per the instructions of the
support reps. Under that assumption, I would think you need to enable DHCP on
your Suse machine.

I am a RedHat guy, so I do not know the appropriate commands on Suse, so I
found a short tutorial on the net.
http://www.linuxplanet.com/linuxplanet/tutorials/894/1/

If you need more help than this, let me know. I can walk you through the
process of manually setting everything up and connecting to the Internet. If
you would like me to do this, I could use the model number of your westell dsl
router. It would also be helpful to know if you have any windows computers
available to you. Most DSL routers are accessed via web-page to enter in
username, password, and DNS information. How did you get to that information?
(This will let me know how to access the router manually, which will help in
setting everything up manually.)

Blessings,
