[CS-FSLUG] Linux fish

Well, I am a little more flexible on the subject than a lot of folks. I
certainly see the humor in it. But I would not have one on my car, even though
I really love Linux. The fish symbol has been a Christian symbol for years,
and most people recognize it as such. People thought it was humorous to have a
"Darwin fish" with the foot evolving out of it, and people in return have
thought it funny to have the Christian fish eating the Darwin fish. In short,
people understand, somewhat, what it means.

It represents a religious symbol, and the Linux fish will, in most people's
minds, link Linux to a religion. While it is almost true in some cases (people
can be more animated about politics or a computer OS than their "religious
beliefs"), I would rather have people know me first and foremost as a
Christian, not as a Linux guy.

I will not berate anyone who buys one of those Linux fishes, there is a certain
humor to it, I jut know it is not for me. I know that what the symbol means to
me is not what it means to others, so I cannot really get too frustrated if I
see it on my friends cars.
