[OFB Cafe] is there some flaky .avi spec we don't know about?

cool, tim, and thanks . . .

i don't have the mac here (well, i have an old powerpc mac upstairs
someplace, but one of the guns in the monitor has gone south, so it's all
purple, making it unenjoyable to use). i emailed the video to a friend who
is absolutely stock xp, and he was able to play it, so i'm presuming that
it's a fairly standard avi spec, meaning that the answer may just be to
get the right plugin for the macintosh.

have you any sense as to mp4 filesize vs. avi?

(this afternoon i am taking huge tupperware tubs of software going back to
dos 2.21 out to the garage. can't justify the space in the house, but
don't want to get rid of it. all kinds of interesting and one-promising
stuff. sometimes i'm half of a mind to set up vmware just to make a dos
virtual machine to run geoworks. which was, i think, motif-based.)
