Chris should explain his political position some time. I always
considered him a conservative -- often, more conservative than I am --
but he is support Obama this year, which makes things... confusing.
Conservatism and Obama are like oil to water.

Better yet, everyone on here should take the Political Compass:

	http://www.politicalcompass.org/

Unless my lunch was bothering me that day, my score is:

	Economic Left/Right: 2.50
	Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.82

Puts me rather in the midst of libertarian American politics (which,
properly, would be American conservatism or European liberalism, I
guess). As I grow more cynical, I become more libertarian and less a
straight conservative. It's the odd path of my long journey as an ex-
liberal of the American sort (I supported Bill Clinton in the 90's).
Actually, though my preferred candidate this election cycle was Mike
Huckabee, I was rooting for Sen. Clinton on the Democratic ticket.
Having one formerly overweight ex-governor from Hope, Ark. running
against the wife of a formerly overweight ex-governor from Hope, Ark.,
would have been as amusing as it would have been productive (hat tip
to Paul Begala for noticing the similarities between the former Prez
and the Huck). I always respected President Clinton for toeing a
rather moderate line, even as he did manage to polarize everybody.

	In any case...

	-Tim
