A google earlier for "8 bit texture" returned a couple of forum posts
complaining that FF7 didn't work on the TNT2. FF7 featured in almost
every result which is how I guessed which game you were talking about
:P.

There is apparently a patch for TNT2 support so maybe that will get
things working with your existing card?

There are quite a few on eBay, at least in the UK. However, I'm
guessing you'd need the PCI version since you won't have an original
AGP slot on a newish machine, and the PCI version does seem to be
rarer :(.
