[CS-FSLUG] Comparison Point - Does Windows do Session Management?

Hi all,
I'm working on a little tutorial for KDE and got to thinking about session
management. In KDE, it is possible to:
<> Restore the last-used session (the default in Kubuntu - starts with
everything open that was before you logged out)
<> Restore a manually saved session (although I'm not quite sure anymore
how to save a session)
<> Start an empty session
As far as I know, Windows does not really do this, or does it?
Thanks!
Don
