"Church" in our culture is primarily a political institution. In the
Bible it is an organic relationship. We are related to each other based
upon the resurrection life that we share in Christ. Political (or
"church") afiliation has nothing to do wiht it. I for one, want no such
political connections, But I remain a member of the same body with many
who are so politicaly connected. I don't find my disconection from their
religious politics to be a hindrance in our organic relationship, and I
doubt that their religious politics gives them any real spiritual
advantage in dealing with others who are part of the same body politic.
