You know, I hate to sound cynical, but reading the rhetoric (""I am
throwing down the gauntlet: if any person - whether a US senator, a
Catholic bishop, a priest or pastor, an evangelical minister or
pro-life leader, or any foot-soldier in the trenches says: "I want to
overturn Roe vs. Wade..." and yet they do not publicly fight against
Sotomayor's nomination, they are either lazy, liars, hypocrites,
cowards, or traitors.") I got suspicious that something was up (one
doesn't shoot the front-line soldier in the back--unless one is a
totalitarian ruler). And then, there it was... the appeal for
money....

Let me just add, lest someone think I don't care--but he's fighting
the wrong battle with the wrong weapons.
