The address shown by ipconfig on the telephone server when running on
the WiFi ("the computer that has 192.168.2.3 as an ip address") for
the default gateway is 192.168.2.254 and putting that into the
xtightvncviewer causes a lock up just as the 192.168.2.3 address does.
However the telephone server works fine on the WiFi
connection....just cant VNC to it from the other computers. Havent
tried using VNC to it from my laptop runing on the WiFi, but I really
dont care about that connection.

BTW, the WiFi PCI card is a Gigabyte Air Cruiser G Desktop Router GN-BC01.

AND I did discover an extra port on the WiFi card. Though it is not
labeled for a router. It is labeled for a "switch". I am wondering
if unpluging the router from the Cable modem and instead pluging it
into the "Switch" port on the WiFi card and then pluging the WiFi card
directly into the Cable Modem might prove the solution? I am hesitant
to do this because if I screw this up I may never get it back to
square one again. But I guess if I dont change any of the
configuration files it should go back without a hitch. But then
again, I will probably find some addresses changed when I do this
which may mean I will HAVE to re configre the computers. Its a Catch
22...#8-)
