Umm. No. e-sword is proprietary format (Jet database - i.e. MS
Access). It is free ($$$), but not free (libre). Sword (gnomesword,
bibletime, etc.) is a different animal. There are hints on the web on
how to convert from e-sword to sword, but I haven't seen a really good
how-to and I think it requires MS Access in the process, but I'm not
sure. The modules are NOT interchangeable.

As the install that I used is a .deb file (found from the links from the
Ubuntu CE site), you might be able to use that.

Really, you should be able to install it on any linux version as it just
runs under wine. As to the exact steps for installation manually, I
don't know, but you might find them on the web through a search.
