Perhaps making an app dependent on Gnome or KDE is
to repeat the error of Microsoft and Apple?  It only
feeds into endless bloat and inefficient code.

If we look at what is being accomplished in Puppy
Linux and other really small Linux distros it is
clear that the bloat is not necessary.

Seems to me that we need to make some strategic
choices and then lobby Bible app developers to
respond accordingly.

If we are to make computers available in developing
nations and to poor working class people elsewhere
then we need an OS and a set of apps that run on
older computers with limited resources.

Here is the third page of an interesting discussion
in the Puppy Forum about TKBible.  There are other
threads related to Bible apps and many more re. to how
one develops robust apps without code bloat, and the
associated costly hardware demands bloat causes.
