I should correct Jack on his statement that I'm a long-time Ubuntu
user. That should have been SUSE. My Ubuntu adventure is recent.
Also, see the "More on this topic" box:

A correction for this article as well: the Korea incident was very recent.
Thanks for the encouragement! God has just literally been pouring out
blessings all week long. Tuesday was a huge day, when:
(1) I found out I will be getting a small compensation for my work at
LXer, which means we're succeeding financially
(2) I closed a deal to manage a website and perform editing functions
for some folks who deal in real estate.
There is the possibility of an additional website management deal as
well. The financial blessings come at a most crucial time. Then,
this article appears yesterday over at TechTarget. Of course, today
was my birthday, and I got to eat lunch with my Pa, who happened to be
driving through town to see his brother. So it's really been an
exciting week! I praise God for all of it.
I also praise God for Tim Butler, who invited me to join this list
when I was being flamed on NewsForge for breaking the protocol of
mixing faith and technology. ;-) Of course, Nathan pointed me to my
first "big" story on LXer. That *is* still playing out, by the way.
The fellowship, technical support and debates with everyone have been
both, educational and enjoyable. All of it has helped me arrive at
this point. I hope that I will continue to be a light on a hill -
both as a Christian, and as a Christian deeply devoted to freedom.
Blessings,
Don
