Thanks Brian, but I have it fixed now. The fix was to set the
primary_hostname in the exim config file. 

Why Exim? Because I'm more experienced with it than the other mtas.
Ubuntu installs Postfix by default. I need client smtp_auth to get my
email from my mail server. I tried to set it up on postfix, but it
required setting up sasl and tls, and it just got to confusing for me.
So, I installed exim and just copied over the conf file from Slack, and
Voila! it worked. I just didn't want to spend the time to get Postfix
working.
