[CS-FSLUG] Mouse-pointer feedback for desktop launchers in Gnome

                                                             JMJ + OBT

I mentioned before that I installed Ubuntu Linux on my friend's
notebook computer.

One thing I noticed, is that when the stock launchers and links in
the menus are clicked, the mouse pointer changes to a spinning-disk-
thing; and that's helpful because it indicates, "you made a
successful double-click." If I copy one of those launchers to the
desktop, the same mouse-pointer feedback is initiated when they are
double clicked.

BUT, any launchers or links that I create and place on the desktop
_don't_ provide mouse-pointer feedback when they are double-clicked.
Can anyone help me figure out how I can change that? Does this e-mail
make sense?

In Christ,

Michael Bradley, Jr.
