I'm a bit odd in that I like all of the options, and still prefer  
Gnome. I was disconcerted when they took all of the configuration away  
after version 1.4. But I've grown to like the new way of working, and  
found I didn't really need those options.

I do miss the Sawfish window manager. It had a neat "stop to focus"  
mode. Focus didn't just follow the mouse. You had to stop the pointer  
in a window before focus switched. And you could place windows based on  
rules. Metacity doesn't seem to do either of these.

Ah well, if it was perfect I'd have nothing to look forward to :)
