[CS-FSLUG] Is Deleting Spyware A Crime?

If deleting spyware is a crime, then I am guilty (isn't that what we do when we delete windoze and install, BSD, Linux, Minux, etc?). Let me put it this way. I ran a test. I created a fresh install of windoze98 and then (from a CD) installed spyware doctor. I found 89 instances of spyware (including a keystroke logger, and "bot" that was apparently meant to monitor sites visited with IE) on a fresh install that had never been connected to a network. Either the spyware doctor is spyware or microsoft forces you to install software.

Regardless, I like Linux (no spyware yet) and will stay with it. I just wish I could figure out why I couldn't get the Fedora Core 3 ISO to work.
