[CS-FSLUG] Laptops and iBooks (OT)

Well, I don't want to advise you too much and talk you into  
something, but let me say this: many times I've bought something  
cheaper because it was cheaper, not because it did what I wanted  
better (or as well as) a more expensive item. Sometimes this is  
practically necessary, I have $X in cash, and simply cannot spend  
anymore. Other times, it is just a bit of a stretch to buy the better  
thing. In those latter cases, I almost always regret having purchased  
the cheaper item, and many times have ended up buying the better,  
more expensive item down the road.

In other words, you may be keeping more money to yourself right now,  
but six months or a year down the road are you going to be trying to  
sell that Acer at a loss so that you can buy the iBook you really  
would have been better off with to begin with?

(Maybe you won't be better off with it, but just something to chew  
on...)
