I don't know that I'd go with a total SATA board just yet. In the July
issue of MAXIMUMPC, there's an article about problems with SATA and
optical drives. I tried to find the article on their web site, but they
didn't post this particular article. It seems that not all SATA opticle
drives work with all SATA boards. The article says to check with your
opticle drives manufacturer to make sure it will work on the board
you're planning to connect it to. The issue has to do with the chipset
and BIOS on the boards, not necessarily with the drives. So, if you
want an all SATA board, this might be something you want to check out
first.
