I thought that you were boycotting Mandrake due to France's opposition
to the Iraq war (although at the same time ... given that the German
position appears to be the same I can't understand why you're not
boycotting SuSE as well).

As far as RedHat is concerned, given the licensing situation with
RHEL, you begin to run into the same proprietary issues there as you
would experience with Microsoft (although perhaps not to the same
extent).

I think that the above has eliminated most of the major distributions
(except perhaps slackware or debian neither of which are the easiest
to introduce - although still learnable).  What distribution do you
propose as the moral alternative to Microsoft?
