The quote at the end really says what I was thinking:

“I don’t think there’s much spiritual significance in the popularity of
the Jesus junk,” Gross said.

Of course, you don't see anything said about how this is trivializing
the name of our Saviour.

On the other hand, a whole new witnessing tool... "Do you know the man
on you shirt personally? No? Want to know why he's so popular? He died
to provide you with an opportunity to live forever."

That said I have mixed feelings, but overall I'm negative at the moment.
I'm hoping someone has some great insightful comments one way and/or the
other. :-)
