DON'T take offense to this, but you do have to search for some settings
that were in 3.5. Many aren't obvious, but they ARE there!<br>

automatically detected my printer/scanner/fax device for SANE.
SANE will not detect the correct hardware whatsoever on my box, it keeps
insisting my hauppauge tv card is my scanner and it has no configuration

There's a few other things that are severely broken and just way too many
configuration options have been removed from system settings.
This is enough to make any Linux user want to go back to windows!

in the 4.3 release. What scanner make and model do you have?

I have the HP OfficJet 5610 all in one. Kooka detected this right off the bat
and it works great. I can't believe KDE or kubuntu would remove something that
worked.

to maybe walk you through a few things that will take care of your
problems. YES......we can resolve this....easily, I think. Kooka IS
still available via the openSUSE repositories......you need to set them
up correctly.<br>
